Connect learning with practice

Work integrated learning

Work integrated learning (WIL) integrates the theory of learning with the practice of work. We also refer to it as placement, professional experience, clinical education or internships.

Work integrated learning

Education with a difference

At ACU more than 30,000 tailored WIL opportunities take place each year. By taking part in WIL you will learn alongside experienced practitioners and workplace educators. They’ll share their knowledge and expertise and act as mentors so you can build on your knowledge and skills in a real-world environment.

Mission and values

Throughout your studies you will examine fundamental questions about human experience and meaning and learn to address them with intelligence, compassion, and a heightened ethical awareness. WIL gives you the opportunity to live these values.

Our graduates get jobs

Our reputation and strong community and industry links provide you with invaluable practical learning experiences ensuring you graduate work ready.
