ACU counsellors provide a safe and supportive environment so that students can discuss concerns and develop the tools they need to build resilience and achieve their goals.
We offer free and confidential counselling to all ACU students who may be experiencing personal, mental health, or general wellbeing concerns that are affecting their life, work or study.
Our counsellors:
- are experienced and trained psychologists or social workers who offer appointments in-person, online or over the phone
- provide a short-term service offering students up to six sessions each year
- do not provide diagnostic or crisis services, but may be able to assist with external referral options and resources for more complex issues
- can provide specific strategies to help you with your general study and to prepare for key university events such as exams and placements
- facilitate workshops aimed at enhancing students' mental health and wellbeing in preparation for key university events such as exams, general study and placements.
To make an appointment
Current ACU students can make appointments with our counsellors through the Student Portal. Appointments are available in-person, online or over the phone.
