Our Leadership Centre in Townsville offers higher education opportunities to the region. With a population of around 200,000 people, the Townsville area is also home to the largest Australian Defence Force (ADF) garrison, with approximately 6,000 current serving ADF members and almost 9,000 former serving members.
Located in the middle of the city, the centre allows ACU to support the region, ADF veterans and their families to pursue their higher education goals.

Choose one of our online courses offered through ACU or ACU Online and benefit from flexible study at any location with access to an in-person educational support officer and facilities at the leadership centre.
If you’re interested in relocating, you can study at any of our seven Australian campuses. Whether you choose to study in person or online, we have a range of services to help you transition to university and thrive during your studies.
A diploma program is a great introduction to the specific area you want to study. You can study a Diploma in Business, a Diploma in Entrepreneurship or a Diploma in Criminology at the Townsville Leadership Centre. You’ll be supported throughout the course and, after successfully completing it, you’ll be able to transition into the second year of your chosen degree.
You can also undertake a microcredential in Project Management – a skill that is in great demand.
