Location

The Brisbane Campus (McAuley at Banyo) is located just 12km north of the city centre. Brisbane itself is easy to get around and its river, parks and nightlife are all within easy reach. Even Queensland’s famous beaches are just a short trip away.

Getting around Brisbane

Travelling to our Brisbane Campus in Banyo is easy. There’s a great network of bike paths for cyclists and, for those on public transport, there are train and bus routes nearby.

We even provide a free shuttle bus between key train stops to get you to lectures on time.

We run two free bus services to local public transport hubs so you can get you need to go, faster. The service runs Monday to Friday between Toombul Shopping Centre, Northgate Station and the Chermside Shopping Centre precinct.

The Toombul/Northgate route service starts from 7.30am inbound to campus to arrive for 8.00am classes.

The bus leaves from Chermside (Hamilton Road at Playfield St BCC Stop 37a) every 60minutes. The  route service departs inbound to campus from 7:30am to arrive for 8.00am classes. The last service from campus departs at approximately 9.05pm.

Brisbane is a cycle-friendly city and our campus is a cycle-friendly place. Look up nearby bicycle paths near campus at the Brisbane City Council Cycling website.

When you arrive at campus, you can store your two-wheeled steed at any of the bike racks shown on the campus map and be sure you have your lock/chain too. Racks are located outside of the Library (Bld. 204) adjacent to the covered seating area. Another set is located near P3 (airport side of Bld. 206) . There are showers located in Bld. 208. G (near The Track), Bld. 215 (Pool) and Bld. 216.G adjacent to the bike racks.

City Council buses connect the campus with train stations and suburbs including Toombul Shopping Centre, Northgate, Banyo, Brisbane City and Fortitude Valley.

City Council bus stops, both inbound and outbound, are situated just outside the campus grounds near the intersection of Approach Road and Earnshaw Road.

It would be great if you could find other, more sustainable ways to campus. If you can’t, there is some parking available (P1 & P7) but spaces are limited. 

P2 & P5 are available for use by students after 6.00pm on week days or all day on on weekends and public holidays.

There are a number spots outside Building 206 (P3) for our visitors, that may be reserved. You may request a reservation by calling Property and Facilities 1300 ASK ACU (275 228).

P6 is allocated to staff parking (swipe card access only).

Finally, there are a number of disabled parking spaces on campus for those who hold and display a current government-issued permit.

Just like life in Brisbane generally, the McAuley at Banyo Campus has plenty of opportunity for you to make the most of the sunshine. The expansive grounds have a mix of historic and modern buildings, with wide lawns and hang-out areas where you can relax, study and connect with your fellow students.

There are also plenty of opportunities to get involved in campus life through sports clubs, student societies and free social events.
