Dr Zaman holds an LLB Honours (First Class), an LLM (First Class), an LLM by Research (International Economic Law), and PhD in Law. He joined Thomas More Law School in January 2023. Before that, as an Associate Lecturer and Lecturer, he taught at Macquarie University and University of Technology Sydney (UTS). He has teaching expertise in a wide range of core and elective subjects at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. As a lecturer and subject coordinator, he taught Corporations Law, Commercial and Personal Property Law, Public International Law, International Trade Law and other subjects.
Dr Zaman's research expertise lies mainly in the areas of International Economic Law, World Trade Organisation (WTO) Law, International Trade and Investment Law, and Intellectual Property Law. He regularly publishes in these areas of law in high impact-factor national and international law journals. Dr Zaman supervises Honours, Master of Research and PhD students. Besides teaching and research, he has the experience of active engagement in administrative and community roles in the department, faculty, and university. Currently, Dr Zaman is a research-active academic at ACU.
