The English Language Centre is located on our Melbourne and North Sydney campuses. And all students who enrol in a language course can access the full range of ACU's services and facilities throughout their studies, including:

The right option for you
Our English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course can help prepare you for undergraduate or postgraduate study. Depending on your needs, we offer a range of options from a refresher 5 week course to a more comprehensive 20 week course.
Once you have successfully completed any of these courses, you will meet the English entry requirements for your desired degree. Plus, you will already know your way around campus and be familiar with our online learning tools.

General English
Our General English courses are offered at three different levels: Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate and Upper-Intermediate. Courses run over the summer and winter terms and can be taken for 5 or 10 weeks. General English focuses on improving communication skills within a university and Australian cultural context.

Your English level
You can demonstrate your level of English by doing the ACU English Test or a number of external English language tests that the university accepts.
