Casual Tutorial Assistance Contracts are based on the academic requirements of the students and therefore Australian Catholic University or First Peoples Directorate cannot guarantee any/or future contracts.

Declaration

I declare the information provided by me in the Study Assistant Registration form is true, complete and correct.

Part 7 Indigenous Student Assistance Grants Guidelines 2017 (Commonwealth Government), Explanatory Statement, “Subclause 37(3) stipulates that where a higher education provider requires a person to apply for assistance or enter into a written agreement with the provider, the provider must not provide the assistance or make the payment using an ISSP grant unless the person has signed a form prepared by the provider in which the person acknowledges that:

  • giving false or misleading information is a serious offence; and
  • the person may incur a debt to the Commonwealth or the provider or both if the person receives assistance or payment that the person should not have received; and
  • the provider may collect personal information of the person and share that information with the Commonwealth for the purposes of the Commonwealth administering these Guidelines.

The purpose of this provision is to ensure that an Indigenous student applying for assistance or a person entering into a written agreement with a higher education provider is aware of the implications of other Commonwealth laws.
