Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander student services
Each ACU campus has its own hub for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. The Indigenous Higher Education Units (IHEU) are welcoming, culturally safe and supportive places.
At our on-campus hubs, our staff are ready to offer you academic, personal and cultural support.
Free tutorial assistance (face to face, online or in a group), cultural activities, scholarships, networking and professional development opportunities are some of the possibilities available to our students
Each Unit also provides you with a welcoming, culturally safe space to study and meet in an environment that promotes positive Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander identity.

If you are an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander student, there is free academic tutorial assistance available to you. Take advantage of this opportunity to enhance your study outcomes at ACU.
Please contact your nearest Indigenous Higher Education Unit (IHEU) for further information on how tutorial assistance can support you on your journey. Current students are able to apply for tutorial assistance after you have completed the enrolment process.

Study assistants are paid an hourly rate and may be assigned one or more students depending on the study assistant’s availability, the area of study, and the demand of students accessing the program.
