Other overseas experiences
All Arts students have the opportunity to study abroad during their degree program at one of our partner universities around the world. Students can spend one semester or an entire academic year overseas and, as long as approved units are studied, gain credit towards their Arts degrees. Students remain enrolled with us while overseas and accumulate HECS debt just as they would if studying in Australia. Financial support is available from the University. Explore our full list of partner universities and institutes to find where in the world you can study.

International Internships
Global Studies students spend the second semester of their third year either at one of ACU's international partner universities or on a 10-12 week international internship. The School offers up to 20 bespoke international internships a year through its partnership with Challenges Abroad Australia, in locations such as Cambodia, Thailand and Nepal.
The Immersion Experience Program
Students enrolled in the Bachelor of International Development Studies (BIDS) undertake a four-week Immersion Experience Program in either Cambodia, Thailand or Timor Leste as part of their degree. The program gives students the opportunity to reflect on and apply the knowledge they have acquired in the classroom to real-world situations in a developing country.
