Each semester and study period has its own census date. To find the census date for any semester or study period, you need to refer to the enrolment and fee dates calendar from the link below.
The census date is important as it is the last day that you can change your enrolment. This includes changes that involve:
- Withdrawing from a unit.
- Withdrawing from your course.
- Applying for credit / recognition of prior learning.
If you make any of these changes to your enrolment before the census date, the unit will not appear on your transcript.
If you make any of these changes to your enrolment after the census date:
- You will be charged for that unit.
- The unit will appear as a WW (Withdrawn without Academic Penalty) grade on your academic transcript.
If you have an outstanding balance on your student invoice after the census date, your enrolment may be cancelled by the University.
It is vital you are aware of the census date before you make these kinds of changes.
