Want some help with the cost of your studies? A range of generous government funding initiatives are available for students looking to study at ACU from Semester 1 2024.
If you enrol in the following degrees at ACU’s Canberra Campus, you may be eligible for funding to assist with university costs:
The best part, you don’t need to submit a separate funding application . You’ll automatically be assessed for eligibility with your course application. Limited scholarships are available.
If you are thinking of studying psychology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, social work, speech pathology, midwifery, nursing and paramedicine in NSW, you may be eligible for up to $12,000 from NSW Health.
The Tertiary Health Study Subsidy Program will support 12,000 students from 2024 for five years. The subsidies help you to enter the NSW Health workforce by reducing financial barriers to study. The payments can assist with fees, technology, travel or other associated personal costs.

There is no better time to follow your passion for nursing and midwifery. You can study a nursing or midwifery bachelor’s degree and receive a scholarship from the Victorian Government to cover your course costs if you enrol at ACU’s Melbourne Campus, or nursing at our Ballarat Campus.
To receive the scholarship, you must apply and enrol at ACU, and then apply to the Victorian Government with proof of enrolment.
Follow your dream to become a teacher with financial support. If you enrol in an initial teacher education (ITE) course in secondary education at ACU’s Melbourne Campus or online in 2024 or 2025, you may be eligible for a government-funded scholarship that pays you to learn and can cover the cost of your studies.
Total scholarship payments for students who complete their studies successfully and then teach in a Victorian government secondary or specialist school setting for two years will match the standard HELP fees charged by the Commonwealth Government.
To receive the funding, you must apply and enrol at ACU, and then apply to the Victorian Government with proof of enrolment.

Commonwealth supported places (CSPs) are now available for a range of ACU postgraduate courses. CSP funding means you pay a reduced fee to study your course.
If you're an initial teacher education (ITE) student commencing a full-time teaching degree from 2024, you may be eligible for financial support from the Australian Government.
Commonwealth Teaching Scholarships are valued at $40,000 per student for full-time undergraduate ITE students ($10,000 per year for a four-year qualification) and $20,000 per student for full-time postgraduate ITE students ($10,000 per year for a two-year qualification).
Successful applicants will be required to teach in government schools or government-run early learning settings after graduating, for a time equivalent to the length of their ITE program. Up to 1,000 scholarships are available each year for the next five years.
