EFTSL value of units : All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.

Admission requirements

An applicant must also comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.

To be eligible to apply for admission to the Honours program, a student must have completed 160 cp from years 1 and 2 of the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy pass degree, with a grade point average of at least 5.50 on the ACU seven point scale.

Completion requirements

To qualify for the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy Honours degree a student must complete 320 cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:

  1. 10 cp from Core Curriculum units (Part A);
  2. 210 cp from Specified units (Part B);
  3. 20 cp from Professional Practice units (Part C);
  4. 80 cp from Honours units (Part D).

Other requirements

Students are required to follow the pattern of unit enrolment set out in the relevant Course Enrolment Guide, unless otherwise approved by the Course Coordinator. In all aspects of progress through the course, students will be advised by the Course Coordinator.

Exit points

A student who has successfully completed 230 cp from units, and 10 cp from Core Curriculum units may exit from the course with following qualification:

  • Bachelor of Allied Health

Progression requirements

Students normally complete a unit or units at an introductory level (100-level) in an approved sequence before undertaking advanced level units (200 or 300-level) in that sequence.

In all aspects of progress through the course, students will be advised by the Course Coordinator and bound by decisions of the School Committee.
