EFTSL value of units : All 10 cp units in this course have an EFTSL value of 0.125. Units with a cp value of a multiple of 10 have corresponding EFTSL values.
Admission requirements
An applicant must also comply with the Admission to Coursework Programs Policy.
To be eligible for admission to the course, an applicant must have completed the following prerequisites:
- Bachelor degree in any discipline; or
- Graduate Diploma in Australian Migration Law and Practice.
- An applicant who has completed a OMARA accredited Graduate Diploma in Migration Law and Practice (or equivalent) will be granted advanced standing for 80 credit points
- International applicants need to meet the English Language Proficiency requirements as defined in the Admissions Rules.

Completion requirements
To qualify for the degree, a student must complete 120cp from the Schedule of Unit Offerings, consisting of:
- 80 cp Specified Units (Part A)
- 40 cp Specified Elective Units (Part B.1) or
- 40 cp Thesis Unit (Part B.2)
consisting of either:
- 40 cp from Elective units from Part B.1 or
- 40 cp of the single Thesis Unit in Part B.2
An applicant who has completed a OMARA accredited Graduate Diploma in Migration Law and Practice (or equivalent) will be granted advanced standing for 80 credit points
Exit points
A student who has completed the requirements prescribed for the Graduate Diploma in Australian Migration Law and Practice may exit from the course with the relevant award.
Progression requirements
Students are required to follow the pattern of unit enrolment set out in the relevant Course Enrolment Guide, unless otherwise approved by the Course Coordinator. In all aspects of progression through this course, students will be advised by the Course Coordinator.
