Spread some Christmas cheer to people experiencing disadvantage by donating gifts.
Campus Ministry have partnered with local community organisations at each campus to ensure our donations meet specific community needs. Find out what’s needed in your community below and have an impact this Christmas.
For more information about this initiative or to register your interest in volunteering to help sort, clean and pack the donated items before they are delivered to our community partners, please contact your Campus Pastoral Associate or email campusministry@acu.edu.au
Items collected at the Ballarat campus will be donated to Child and Family Services Ballarat (Cafs) which support anyone who needs assistance through a range of comprehensive and innovative support programs. Christmas present gift tags for children will be hanging on the Christmas Tree in the Carn Brea Staff Room, indicating the ages and gender of children for whom you can purchase a gift for. Purchased gifts will then need to be returned to the Christmas Tree or to the Campus Ministry Office.

Items collected at the North Sydney campus will be donated to the Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) who provide services and support to refugees, internally displaced people, people seeking asylum and other forcibly displaced people.

Items collected at the Brisbane campus will be donated to The Romero Centre who provide individualised, culturally sensitive and responsive case coordination services for people seeking asylum.

Items collected at the Melbourne campus will be donated to Exodus Community who provide support to people in the local community of one of the poorest suburbs in Melbourne.

Please visit the Giving Tree located at Concierge and choose the gift tag of what you intend to purchase. Attach the tag to the gift when returning to the donation points at any of the following locations:

Despite the challenges of 2021 we managed to donate hundreds of items to our community partners to help spread Christmas cheer across the country. Thank you to all staff and students who donated or assisted with the collection of items.
