Whilst Australia is no longer in the emergency response phase to the COVID-19 pandemic, ACU continues to implement health measures designed to manage the virus. The University COVID-19 Safety Plan prescribes how the virus will be managed on ACU campuses and is informed by government recommendations in each state/territory. ACU is monitoring the situation closely and monitors the impacts of government decisions about policy and healthcare.
We are communicating regularly with our community - both locally and internationally - through emails, phone support, social media and this website.
ACU has also developed a COVID Safe Plan for each of our campuses in accordance with recommendations from the Queensland, NSW, ACT, SA and Victorian governments. Please check the Victorian COVID Safe Plan for Melbourne (PDF, 208KB) and Ballarat (PDF, 207KB), NSW COVID Safe Plan (PDF, 259KB), the QLD COVID Safe Plan (PDF, 694KB), ACT COVID Safe Plan (PDF, 2MB) and the Covid Safety Plan for Mother Teresa Building construction, ACU Melbourne (PDF, 4.4MB). These also accord with our ACU University COVID-19 Safety Plan and may also have some recommendations particular to each state/territory.
The university has developed a process for reporting and dealing with confirmed COVID-19 cases amongst staff, students and visitors. To help staff, students and visitors identify whether they need to report, the university has developed a self-assessment guide. If you are experiencing symptoms and/or have tested positive (via PCR or RAT), AND have been on campus during your infectious period (which is with the 48 hours prior to your positive test, or the onset of symptoms (whichever is sooner)). please make sure you fill in the ACU reporting form for staff or the ACU reporting form for students and follow the health recommendations in each state/territory which are outlined here.
