Overview
Effective project management skills are essential for achieving successful project outcomes. This sequence of two microcredentials offer a solid foundation in project management, focusing on both core principals and practical application. You will gain essential knowledge and skills to manage project delivery across various project scales and complexities, including expertise in communication, people management and stakeholder engagement. Additionally, you will develop critical competencies in project scoping, initiation and execution.
The two microcredentials you will explore are:
· UNMC125 - Project Management Fundamentals
· UNMC126 – Applied Project Management
The units are designed to meet modern standards in project management. Upon completion of these two microcredentials, you may be eligible to apply the earned credits towards further studies, such as the Diploma in Business. Additionally, you can seek approval from the course coordinator to apply these credits to other undergraduate programs.
These units are offered at our Townsville Leadership Centre and designed to be flexible to accommodate ADR and Vet students and their families.

The two microcredentials you will explore are:
- Microcredential UNMC125: Project Management Fundamentals
- Microcredential UNMC126: Applied Project Management
Following completion of these microcredentials, you can apply for Credit for the Diploma in Business for DPBI100 - Academic Literacy in Business and Information Technology unit. Students will also be able to apply for credit in other postgraduate courses as approved by the course coordinator.

Dr Marzena Baker
Senior Lecturer, Peter Faber Business School
Dr. Marzena Baker is an accomplished Senior Lecturer at the Peter Faber Business School. With a keen interest in promoting workplace equity, diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing she focuses her research and publications on effective workplace diversity policies, and practices. Her expertise lies in supporting women to occupy leadership roles in project-based organisations.
Dr. Baker is an alumna of Queensland University of Technology, where she obtained a PhD and Master of Business degrees. She also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Auckland University. Before joining ACU, she was a Lecturer in Project Management at the University of Sydney. Dr. Baker's professional experience spans over 25 years in senior corporate positions, where she has managed consumer research, marketing, and communication projects in fast-moving consumer goods, construction, and property development industry sectors. Her research has resulted in multiple conference papers and industry presentations, further demonstrating her expertise and dedication to the field.
Dr Trajce Cvetkovski
Senior Lecturer, Peter Faber Business School
Dr Trajce Cvetkovski is a Senior Lecturer and Discipline Leader of OHSE. He has practised as a barrister in Australia since 1996 and is also admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales. Prior to joining ACU, Dr Cvetkovski was an OHS/WHS prosecutor, and Principal Legal Officer for Queensland’s Office of Industrial Relations for 13 years. He specialises in OHSE compliance and work, health and safety regulation.
Dr Cvetkovski has prosecuted several complex health and safety matters ranging from heat exhaustion, bullying, and electrical safety to reckless conduct. He has expertise in assessing actual as opposed to theoretical approaches to reasonably practicable initiatives in various workplace settings.
Dr Cvetkovski has a particular interest in directors’ duties and due diligence. His current research interests include corporate behaviour and regulatory compliance. Prior to working in government, Dr Cvetkovski worked in private practice.
