ACU is Australia’s only public Catholic university and is part of the government-funded national system of Australian universities.

- The University is registered with the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS), which gives us authorisation to enrol international students.
- ACU is also a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities and the International Federation of Catholic Universities, giving us valuable global connections and networks.

- Australia's tertiary education system is regulated by the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards (TEQSA), an independent national regulatory body established under TEQSA Act 2011. ACU is registered as a Self-Accrediting Authority, responsible for ensuring it meets the required standards set by the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021 (HES Framework).
