From experiencing life as a paramedic to exploring cutting-edge STEM teaching labs or joining a mock legal trial, future students and their families can get a taste of life on campus at Australian Catholic University’s Open Days.
ACU will host a series of events over the next two months at its campuses in Ballarat, Blacktown, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, North Sydney and Strathfield.
The range of activities on offer this year includes pitstop demonstrations with a Chevrolet Camaro supercar in the biomechanics lab, nursing and midwifery simulators and a VR high-performance sports experience.
Attendees will be able to participate in hands-on activities, campus tours, information sessions and speak with ACU academics, current students and alumni.
ACU Future Students Associate Director Caroline Taouk said Open Day was designed to help students find out more about their study options while experiencing ACU’s campus life and culture.
“If students still aren’t sure which course is right for them, they can come along and check out the wide range of options on offer at ACU,” Ms Taouk said.
“They can also get more information about the different pathways to university, including our ACU Guarantee program, student veteran services, Indigenous higher education units and more than 600 scholarships.
“Anyone who registers to come along to Open Day 2024 can win prizes including $2,500 towards their future study expenses at ACU or a Macbook Air. But the most important thing is the chance to experience campus life and chat to our staff and students.
“It’s always a fantastic day with loads of information sessions, food trucks and live music.”
