As an ARC Future Fellow at the Institute for Learning Sciences and Teacher Education (ILSTE), Professor Kathy Mills, is a winner of the 2020 ACU Vice Chancellor’s Excellence Awards.
In her research area on multimodalities, multiliteracies, sensory studies and digital cultures, Kathy’s reputation as a leading global scholar is evident in her portfolio of publications, grants and partnerships. Kathy is a three times ARC Research Fellow and her research underpins her 2020 Award for Excellence in Research and Research Partnerships, for Empathy in a Digital World: Sustained Schools and Community Partnerships.
Kathy forges innovative international and national partnerships with government, industry, and Indigenous communities, empowering students who encounter economic adversity with sustainable research impact and empathy.
