Humanities Future Leader Prize
Congratulations to Laura Rademaker, who has won the 2017 Council for the Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (CHASS) prize for a Future Leader (prize shared with Lisa Walton).
The prize ‘recognises the nominee’s professional achievements and contribution to the advancement of the HASS sector. It celebrates and rewards best practice and innovation of young HASS professionals in Australia’.
Laura’s work at the intersection of religious history and indigenous, gender, and Australian studies has been published in outlets such as Gender and History, History Australia (best article Prize in 2016), Labour History, and Aboriginal History. Her Serle-award-winning PhD dissertation will soon come out with Hawai’i University Press. Her research includes significant work with indigenous communities, including in the Tiwi Islands.
