Dr Philip McCosker, Von Hügel Institute, Cambridge

The Director of the Von Hügel Institute for Critical Catholic Inquiry, Dr Philip McCosker, has been appointed a Visiting Research Fellow of the Institute for Religion and Critical Inquiry at the Australian Catholic University.

Philip will spend a month each year at the Institute working on research and ongoing collaborations between the institutions.

He comments: ‘I’m delighted by this news. The VHI and IRCI share very similar visions and are at exciting stages of our respective developments. I look forward to spending more time in Australia and working more closely with the IRCI and ACU to further our shared goals. There is much to be done!’

Dr Michael Champion, Deputy Director of the IRCI, writes: ‘We’re delighted to add Philip to our scholarly community and expand our international research partnerships by collaborating with the VHI at St Edmund’s College, Cambridge. We expect Philip’s research, and the vision and expertise of the VHI, will help to develop interdisciplinary projects which enable theology to address contemporary conversations. We look forward to much fruitful collaboration.’
