Our biennial conference celebrates the significant achievements that stem from partnerships between university and community and explores some of the contemporary challenges of university-community engagement and service-learning.
Since 2019, our two institutions have worked together to share information, lessons learned, successful practices and innovative ideas to deepen engagement with our respective communities. In doing so, we have furthered our collaboration with each other and deepened our practice of community engagement.
The conference, held on 2-4 November 2023, was presented over three days, in hybrid and in-person formats, to maximise participation between and among our campuses, and provide a broad range of presenters and topics. Presentations covered topics for academics and representatives from community organisations actively involved in community engagement and service-learning programs, as well as for students and anyone with an interest in community engagement and service learning.
