Professor David Greene has an extensive background in musculoskeletal health with a particular focus on children and adolescents. David has explored the impact of athletic participation on musculoskeletal health in paediatric populations across a range of bone-loading sports such as gymnastics, track and field, and horse racing. David has compared and contrasted the body composition characteristics of elite Rugby League players to emerging junior players and has worked with National Sporting Organisations such as Rowing Australia, Athletics Australia, and Swimming Australia as well as individual teams to provide expertise regarding body composition. More recently, David has broadened his research interests to include clinical populations such as Multiple Sclerosis, obese adolescents, people with auto-immune disease, and the impact of low carb ketogenic diets on exercise capacity. David continues to search new opportunities to translate research outcomes into practice while maintaining the highest ethical standards.
