Associate Professor Tim Moore sat down with Run Against Violence to talk about how to approach those uncomfortable conversations with young people. This discussion draws on Tim’s extensive experience in working with children and conducting research with them. He also touches on an online series of modules called Tuned In that adults working with young children in small groups that help build skills and teach adults how to kick off a conversation about child safety. How can you choose sound measures when designing research around safeguarding children and young people? In this webinar, Gabby Hunt presents findings from a comprehensive review of the measures identified in the 2023 Evidence Gap Map, and that are used to assess the achievement of safeguarding aims within institutional settings. She answers questions about their strengths and their limitations, and about what is reliable and valid.
